Some information about Appointment of Law-officers of Tamilnadu Government in the
sub-ordinate Courts in Tamilnadu (including Government Pleaders & Public
Prosecutor’s/Addl PP’s & Government Advocates). - Regarding.

INFORMATION SOUGHT.

1. Kindly inform or supply copy of the modes prescribed/adopted by the Government of Tamilnadu for Appointment of Law-officers of Tamilnadu Government in the sub-ordinate Courts in Tamilnadu, (including Government Pleaders & Public Prosecutor’s/Addl PP’s & Government Advocates), and which GO/circular/etc provides-for such payments. Provide a certified copy of such GO/circular.

2. Kindly inform or supply copy of (mode of selection) the law officers (including Government Pleaders & Public Prosecutor’s/Addl PP’s & Government Advocates) selected for representing the Tamilnadu Government in the Madras High Court & Supreme Court in 2006 & 2011.

3. Provide the details of applications made for each such post, name & designation of the person/authority who selected each of them, and what is the duty, responsibility & liability of each law officer. Provide a certified copy of each application and the entire file relating to the appointment to each position.

4. kindly inform number of complaints were received against the law-officers of Tamilnadu during 2006-12, and what action was taken on each complaint. Provide certified copy of each file that emanated from each such complaint.
